this is wad we heard, what we trying to learn.
we all know genetic changes do made a BIG change.
In characteristic expressing.
In how protein fold, how protein synthesis.
In body system functioning.
Alot alot more. many many ...
If only, we understand.
Maybe less suffering in the world?
Sharing one very very rare case genetic change causes : Harlequin Ichthyosis.
This is wad i happened to browse through.
And i never know, it will be so shocking.
when i say shocking, i really mean it.

What is harlequin ichthyosis?
Harlequin ichthyosis is a severe genetic disorder that mainly affects the skin. Infants with this condition are born with very hard, thick skin covering most of their bodies. The skin forms large diamond-shaped plates separated by deep cracks (fissures). These skin abnormalities affect the shape of the eyelids, nose, mouth, and ears, and restrict movement of the arms and legs. Restricted movement of the chest can lead to breathing difficulties and respiratory failure.
The skin normally forms a protective barrier between the body and its surrounding environment. The skin abnormalities associated with harlequin ichthyosis disrupt this barrier, making it more difficult for affected infants to control water loss, regulate their body temperature, and fight infections. Infants with harlequin ichthyosis often experience an excessive loss of fluids from the body (dehydration) and develop life-threatening infections during the newborn period.

For DBT21
This blog is dedicated to an special class made up of different people with unique characters.
This class formed on April 2007 made up of a group of teens aged 17 (majority). Many memories are created by them, for themselves and to those around them. When these memories are recalled, they may be sweet, sour, bitter or salty. Regardless of taste of the memories, they shared a common tasteless memory of a building called T11A. The most difficult part was probably growing up together during their 3 years of education and building their own dreams. Teens with own dreams and have no fear to peruse them in the unpredictable future made them who they are after graduation in 2010.
The new beginning of 2011 marked them as 21 yrs of age. A young adult fighting for their own survival and to fulfill their own dreams. Walking on a new road they chose, they are determined to succeed. Wish them all the best and a day when Dream do come true !
